How to Bake Salmon?
step – 1
Seasoning the salmon
Bring the salmon to room temperature: If your salmon fillets are in the Refrigerator/freezer, let your fillets rest out on the counter for 15 – 30 minutes, until they come to the room temperature. This will help with even cooking.
Seasoning: Dry the fillets on all sides using paper towels. Brush some oil on the baking tray. Then place the salmon skin side down on a baking tray. Sprinkle evenly all the required seasonings such as garlic powder, paprika, pepper and salt. Rub the dry seasonings evenly all over the fish. Brush with some olive oil on all sides of the fish.

Step – 2
Baking the salmon
Bake: Pre heat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake the Salmon for about 12 – 15 minutes. You can also test it by inserting a fork or a knife into the salmon and check whether it is fully cooked.
Transfer to a plate and serve it hot: Remove the tray from the oven and transfer the salmon to a serving plate. You can squeeze some lemon juice. It’s optional. You can serve it hot with some baked veggies of your choice or serve the salmon over some flavored rice.

Notes:
- The oven should be pre heated before you bake the Salmon fillets.
- To get the best golden brown crust on your fish, you’ll want to make sure your pan is hot and that the salmon fillets are patted dry before they are added to the pan. Let your salmon cook undisturbed for about 5 minutes for the best results.
- I like to use wild salmon when possible.
- Be sure not to overcook your fish. This typically takes about 5 – 7 minutes per side for an average sized salmon fillet.
- Serve your salmon over rice. I also add a baked or pan roasted green vegetables on the side such as asparagus, green beans or potatoes.
