Big chocolate chips adds chocolate in every single bite. The flavor and texture of this cookie is unparalleled by any other recipe. This is the best chocolate chip cookie ever!

The addition of cornstarch which holds in moisture gives a soft centered cookie. The most important part to get a perfect classic cookies is to chill the cookies before baking. This ensures they all bake at the same size and don’t spread too much while baking.

Notes:
  • You can make the cookie dough and chill it in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Allow to come to room temperature then continue to bake.
  • If you don’t have cornstarch or don’t want to use it, simply leave it out. The cookies are still very soft.
  • Room temperature eggs are best.
  • Using both brown sugar and white sugar results in a moister, softer cookie.
  • Chilling the dough results in a thicker cookie and it is mandatory.
